Heyball and Orcollo

I was watching a heyball match only to see what kind of form Dennis was in. During the first game his opponent starts complaining about something to do with the glove Dennis was wearing.
Both players are dressed identical, shoes, shirts, pants except Dennis is wearing a pink glove his opponent a black glove. A second ref brought Dennis a different glove and took a spray bottle he had on his table that his opponent was complaining about.
It was pretty obvious he was accusing Dennis of something. Watch the first 2 games, that's where it all took place. Let's hear what you think

Pretty funny given all the wax gate business.

His opponent seemed like a grouch though and I thought it was out of line to accuse Orcollo so aggressively. I speak Chinese and his tone was quite forceful when complaining to the ref and talking about how he's 100% certain the ball had been waxed. What's odd is that 1) Orcollo hadn't touched the cue ball before then and 2) Yang didn't even get out of position and simply missed a routine shot. It just seemed like Yang was looking for excuses.

Yeah, Yang is not someone I would like to play. I've played Dennis before and it was fine except he ran out. ;)

Unless they practiced on the table before the match, I didn't see any opportunity for DO to grease the ball. It's funny that Yang started complaining when Dennis asked the ref to clean the ball.

If the cue ball was acting a little funny, maybe it was because the set had just been cleaned. It was the start of the match.

I think he missed a straight in shot.
It was a simple cut shot that he severely overcut. See at 9:21...

Maybe Yang thought the reason he overcut it so much is because of the lack of CIT (collision induced throw)? Lol...not if he missed as much as he did.

What's interesting is that Dennis probably thought the balls skidded and that it threw too much with outside english, which is the reason why he asked the ref to clean the CB immediately afterwards. And if Dennis really did wax up the CB (on his break shot), did he really want the ref wiping it down? Just makes no sense.

Maybe Yang simply wanted to shark Dennis and get in his head. If that was the reason for Dennis' poor performance, then I guess Yang was successful.

dude has a wide open table cant run 3 balls and throws a fit

I think the difference in throw between a waxed/lubricated ball and a normal ball could be that large with a slow stun shot at that angle.

Maybe...if by "normal ball" you mean one of my 18-year-old balls on my home table that I wash once every leap year. If I was playing in my home table, then yes I probably would have compensated for that much CIT on a slow stun shot. But this is an international tournament and not my home table with dirty/old equipment. I doubt these players are calculating that much CIT on each cut shot.

But as I said I think a more probable explanation, other than him misjudging or mishitting the shot severely, was that there was too much friction at contact (skid) and outside english threw it too much. I believe that is why Dennis asked for the CB to be cleaned immediately.

What i found funny about that, as soon as, he starts complaining he took his own glove off.....as if to say it couldn't off been me. Dennis never even touched the CB.
