A big reason is that it’s on a relatively small platform and wasn’t well promoted. They have 12k subscribers and don’t update.Live viewer number has been super low. It looks like 8 ball with funny pockets. Do you watch the U.S. Open 8 ball? Was it boring? This game is unwatchable! I never thought I'd be bored to hell watching Soufi. I sure hope he didn't give up WNT events for this boring ass game.
I can't stand any 8 ball. The most boring game ever invented IMO. Chinese 8 ball takes it to a new level of boring, due to the rounded pockets eliminating about half of the shots possible on an American style pool table. It looks like 8 ball with funny pockets. This is the danger IMO with tightening pockets too much on American style pool tables. On snooker style rounded pocket tables, half the shots are not available. (anything even remotely near a rail at speed). That's the bread and butter shot in pool. If pool tables are tightened too much, the game will become boring, cinch pool, with little CB zinging around the table. There is ZERO excitement factor in this game. They shoot straighter than a SEAL team sniper but its boring to watch. All cinch pool, very little cb movement. Snooze-a-thon. Good luck WPA making this the world standard pool game.
^^^ That right there. To me it looks nothing like 8 ball on a regular table. Too much slow rolling balls, they don't play for angle so there is little cue ball movement and you don't see them going multiple rails for a break out often. The breaks look huge but its just balls rolling around bouncing off the cushions and nothing seemingly falling. There is ZERO excitement factor in this game. The average recreational player will struggle on 5" GoldCrown pockets. This current craze/lunacy of constantly making pockets tighter is bad for anyone but pros. 4.5" is 'kinda' doable but even those are tight for average league players. Ch8b is just mind-numbingly boring to watch. This is the danger IMO with tightening pockets too much on American style pool tables. Those shots are not possible due to the rounded pockets. The only shots that can be hit with speed on rounded pocket tables are the ones that enter full into the pocket, without hitting the "round". (or in pool terms, the facing). Those are the shot angles that skip the facing and instead directly hit the back plastic/leather/rubber part of the pocket. Those types of angles are not conducive to twice across table position routes, or 3 rail forward position routes. Or even one rail cross table shots. etc. Those are the routes that make pool fun, both playing and watching.^^^ That right there. To me it looks nothing like 8 ball on a regular table.
