Hi Folks,
Some of you may remember me, as I made a lot of friends on this board,
and was a "regular". Anyway, I'm glad to see that the board is still alive
and well, and I was surprised to see that there were 198 people viewing
the main forum alone!
I injured my back a few years ago, and pretty much gave up pool. I was
very serious about it, as some of you might know, but I was also very
disappointed in the fact that most of the pools halls around here in
Massachusetts were closing, or did close.
I actually played a game of pool for the first time in years last week, but
it was on a bar table, and it was nothing like before, when I played on
full-sized tables. I was a little surprised that my back was not hurting
when I bent over to shoot, as it really hurts when I bend over the sink
to shave, etc..
I doubt I will ever get back into pool like I did, and I will probably be
selling all of my DVDs, instructional books, story books, and the other stuff
I collected in great quantities, when I could not get enough pool. I have
not been to the for-sale forum yet, and I have not caught up on what the
forum rules are yet. In any case, I plan to go through what I have soon,
and will definitely post what I have the the proper forum, before I put
any of it on ebay. I no longer have wheels, and I'd love to see the stuff
go to someone or a group of folks that will make good use of it, rather
than just buy the stuff to flip it.
Well, this became quite a long message, so I'll cap it here. Again, it seems
that the board is more popular than ever, and that's really cool. Later, John
