Actually that was Landshark that gets props for the 14 hours :) ...I only drove 5 1/2. :( It's the only tournament close enough that I'm willing to go to at this point in time. But I had a great time, so just warning everyone that goes every year..yes, I'm coming back! Haha.

Landshark must be Sarah's sister, sistah to do that!!! 5 1/2 hrs. is nothing to frown @ Dea!!! Heck, I don't think I'd drive that far to see my "idols" Buddy Hall or Mike Sigel!!! Sarah seems to be a far nicer person though, so I might make an exception! ;) :D

I would like to see a WPBA tournament when it makes its way down to the So. CA. area! That'd b kewel!

F8it,

I do get a chance to do some sparring with good players. It definitely helps especially if you can get your mindset the same in practice as you do in tournaments.

Thank you for the confidence. I am hoping that things go well. ESPN will be taping the final four players of the tournament.

I'm sorry I have no way to describe the way I break...I have never seen myself do it. Perhaps someone here that has seen it can describe it.

There is nothing you can do about a bad rack except checking the rack. I don't do it as often as I should. I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt and think they are honest...that is not the case most of the time. There is also no way to control bad table conditions. That is the pool rooms fault.

Dea, I know you didn't come to see me, but hey, that's ok.

Yes, yes I did! Do I need to bring up the fact that I came down to watch you play, then did *not* stay for anyone that was playing on your table afterwards? Oh yes, how easy we must forget. lol.

Yeah - you weren't the only one I came to see - but you were the one I sported on my jacket, and hung out with, and ate lunch with. YEP. YOU.

I so sweet. :D

Hiya Sarah!,

Man, you're gettin' a lot of "hits" on your "board" now! Gr8 to see you're getting the attention you deserve!!!! :)

I checked on the WPBA schedule & realized the Tournament doesn't start 'till this coming wed.! When are you heading out to NM (if you haven't already)? Are you flying, driving or hitching ;) ? What kind of "logistical" planning do yah' do - heading out to Pro Tournaments - when leaving home base? D'yah just throw everything in a duffle bag @ the last minute or do you prepare well ahead of time?

I hope you do great!!! :)

Sincerely and Respectfully!!!,

F8it

Thank you for thinking that I need and deserve attention.

The tournament begins on Wednesday with a players meeting and draw. Play begins on Thursday morning. I am going to New Mexico on Monday. Some of the players are doing a charity golf outing on tuesday morning/afternoon. It should be alot of fun.

As for my planning before a tournament, it depends. Sometimes everything is last minute, arrangements and packing. This tournament was more well planned than others this year. I am flying to New Mexico. It is way too far away to drive and I will pack the night before because my flight leaves really early in the morning. I am a last minute kind of girl.

Only meant that as a compliment and nothing more. I guess I worded it wrong! :( I didn't mean to infer you "didn't" get enougth attention! Heck look at the number of views on your threads and posts!!! Actually I think you prolly get too much attention!!! Hah!!! :D

Srry' I've never to be a WPBA event. :( hence this rather ridiculous question: When will you know who you draw, and will there be adequate practice room tables to accommodate everyone? How does that work? It must be a pain if too many people want to practice @ once & there aren't n'uff tables!

Oh yeah! I've read in one of the threads you played some golf! Are you playin' the Charity event on Tues.? What's you're handicap? Man, I hope you won't have to lug you're g. clubs w/yah to the airport! Knowing you, you can prolly use the "house clubs" and still do well! ;)

Yeah a long drive even if you're not the one driving would be taxing on anybody! That & the price of gas!!! I didn't figure you being a "last minute" type of girl for some reason... I'm like that too nowadays! Everyone has to multitask so much now it's hard NOT to do things the last minute! Not an excuse for me though... I just procrastinate to keep things exciting! Lol!!!

Have a safe trip Sarah, and don't get to the airport too late!!! ;) Hope you finish really high in the Tournament, if not the #1 spot (U.S. Open Champion baby!!!!) Take care, good luck and give No Quarter to your opponents!!!

Sincerely & Respectfully!!!,

F8it

I know you only meant that as a compliment. I'm glad everyone enjoys coming to this forum and reading everything from the funny to the informative.

When will you know who you draw, and will there be adequate practice room tables to accommodate everyone? How does that work?

We find out the draw after the players meeting on Wednesday night. I generally post my draw as soon as I get back to the hotel room. There are two practice tables in the practice room. It doesn't sound like enough but it is. Generally people with matches in the next round get priority. We all take turns hitting a rack of balls. There usually are only a few people in the practice room at one time.

Are you playin' the Charity event on Tues.? What's you're handicap? Man, I hope you won't have to lug you're g. clubs w/yah to the airport!

Yes, the golf event begins on Tuesday morning. I don't know my handicap. I haven't really played too much in the past few years. It will be interesting to say the least. And yes, I have to take my clubs. I will be the girl at the airport with way too many bags.

Thanks for the advice or words of wisdom on winning.

Take care,
Sarah

Hey (by the was hey means hi in Swedish! :D ) Sarah!!!,

Have a safe trip and have fun!!! Yah' Darn Natural!!! ;)

Hahaha! Oh yeah?! Last I read you offered your services as a "Cue" caddy! :p Btw, when are you due? That "bun" must be a full on "loaf" by now! You can prolly use a caddy yourself! ;) Juss kiddin' there kiddo! :D

S&R is only an abbrev. for: "Sincerely & Respectfully"!!! There aren't very many young women I can say that I truly respect! :( Sarah is one of the few and a classy one @ that! :) Well.. 'cept for the mohawk! Hah!!! :p Nah, it's cool.. I never had the ballz to do that, and prolly never will!

N E way I hope she does well and kix A$$!!!

Caddy..."Cue" Caddy...same difference! And don't try to say a woman can't do something because she is too fat....us chicks can do ANYTHING!!!!

Anyway...thanx for the S&R tutoring.....my goal is to stay hip with the kiddies...LMAO!!

Caddy..."Cue" Caddy...same difference!

Well.. unlike Golf Caddies, Cue Caddies are responsible for holding the "stake" and keeping their pie holes shut!!! Not to mention backin' up their player when the fists and pool balls start flyin!!! LMAO!!! ;) And yes this includes guy Caddies as well!!! No discrimination here!

And don't try to say a woman can't do something because she is too fat....us chicks can do ANYTHING!!!!

 Wha? When did I say dat?!!! Haha! You ain't fat...you're just packin' a fully risen loaf!!! ;) That'd be a sight to see though...seein' yah' fully "blossomed" Caddy'n for Sarah 18 holes! Lol!!! :D

Gd luck with the baby though!!! If it's a gurl are you gonna' name her "Sarah"? If it's a boy you can call him "Rousey" kinda' has a kewel ring to it don't it?

Take care Landshark77... your nickname suits you well indeed!!! ;)

Btw, I posted a picture of myself above. That's me on one of my GOOD Days! Now U know why I didn't fill out an "application" :D

Sarah,
So, how many eagles and birdies did ya get yesterday? :) I'm extremely jelouse, no more golfing for me this year

Thank you for those drills, I have been trying those and a few others out. Are you excited to play tomorrow? silly question, I'm sure. Ahh...the anticipation of a pool tournament, gotta love it.

Shoot well, play strong!

Well, we did pretty good. I was happy with how I played. It was a four man scramble. My team shot a 68. I played pretty good for not playing in a long time. I would imagine in Alaska there aren't many months out of the year that you get to play anyway.

I'm glad the drills have been working for you. And yes, of course I am ready to play. It was kind of nice to come a bit early to the tournament. It was actually kind of relaxing.

Landshark and F8it...I did a pretty good job caddying for myself. Maybe when I win a tournament I will be worthy of a cue caddy. Then you guys can fight over the job.

Sarah
