Well I spent a long hard time designing my first high end cue....I believe I drafted out about 15 different versions before I came up with the one I finalized! I'm picky about what I want and am glad that the builder (not telling yet

Here are my comments since you asked...
I like the design for the forearm, I like the design for the butt sleeve... but to me they look like they belong to two entirely different cues.
The only design element that is carried out from the forearm to the butt sleeve are the rings.
To me, utilizing the "arch"design below the top ring in the butt sleeve is a must... otherwise the butt sleeve will look out of place without it.
Finally, I would utilize the shorter points in the forearm and do a smaller version of them reversed in the butt sleeve instead of the peacocks.
I believe those changes would make the design flow much better throughout the cue.
Just my $.02 worth...

this was my first time ever designing a cue so there are going to be imperfections to most! once I get the story posted it will start to make more sense!
As for the forearm points they are made to be an illusion...foreground points are purposely placed in the background, so that when sighting down the forearm it looks as if there are multiple layers braking through the field of vision. With the end I wouldn't have been able to replicate due to the length. I did play around with it but could never get it to really jive...like I mentioned I made numerous versions before I found one I was happy with (keep in mind I live in maine and don't really get to see many customs in person to appreciate their designs! AZ is all I have) :thumbup:

Back in 2010 I had contacted “GUESS THE BUILDER” looking to have my design put into a cue… after about 300 or so e-mail correspondences I was at the point of no return! I was having this cue built for my grandfather as a gift, so I sent him the design draft along with the materials list.

Dale (pdcue) was super helpful and gathered up some of his old stock late 80’s Gabon Ebony and sold me these fine pieces :grin:
“BUILDER” was able to find the Malachite and Ivory that I was looking for (yes I know everyone seems to HATE malachite now??) “To each their own”… But I think with my design it would look amazing anyways. It was dubbed the “Green Tied Tux” due to the pact that my grandfather always had a mint tie when he dressed up! The plan was to have an Ivory Joint, bumper less butt cap, ferrules, ringwork and point accents.
“BUILDER” started to work on the design in his system and quickly found out that my design was flawed from the start 
things seem so simple on paper! He mentioned that if he was to make some of the points as I wanted would require to deep of a cut into the forearm !DUH! What a doof I forgot that the cue is round when I was designing it! “BUILDER” suggested that he add a point to thin them out and make it doable…I thought that was a great idea as it wouldn’t really change any of the design concepts of the cue.
After many more “Life” delays on both of our ends a year had passed (not “BUILDERS” fault I told him not to rush and that I was in no hurry as I know things take time and I can wait) “BUILDER” had supplied me with a few “in progress” photos of the forearm being cored…
