all too often some one comes on here lamenting another pool room closing. i have said many times if a room owner takes care of its customers the customers should reciprocate and take care of its room owner.

many times i have come on here and praised how well run i think high pockets is. i have talked with tracy a few times and mentioned i wish he could expand because his place is so crowded and he said yea he wish he could also.

well its finally happening. some footage became available next door and he is taking it and adding 4 tables. 2 -9s and 2 bar tables. i dont think its enough footage to add more than that but every lil bit helps relieve the overcrowding. i told him tonight i was glad he felt comfortable taking on the added expense and hope it pays off. he said yea he does also.

so if you are ever in town stop by.

Tracy rocks. period.

Tracy has been helping players out, that travel with me, for some time. He also has helped other players. He does SO MUCH for pool not only in Memphis by out of town and even out of state.

At the last White Diamonds Event in Louisiana there was 120 players signed up. Tracy was listening on the Live stream and called White Diamonds and had them announce over the PA system that the next 8 players that come up and sign up are paid for by High Pockets Memphis!! Boom, full field. How strong is that????

Who's gonna come play in Tracy's tournament? Everyone, that's who.

Tracy's wheels are always turning. He's a really great guy with a huge heart. I'm proud to call him my friend.

hight pockets

i love playing there and they have great food too. so im taking the bbq place close down an that's how they are getting more room?

Too many times I hear how pool is dying, etc.

Maybe the people who are running the pool halls arent "WORKING IT" like Tracy does.

In my hometown, someone opened a new poolroom and they were really too lazy to work it.

It failed. Big surprize.

Like most things, its the people that make a place successful.

Id like to ask the forum, how many poolrooms have you been lately that is so full sometimes you have to wait for a table? It happens at Highpockets. I am sure that is the reason that Tracy is looking to expand slightly. Lorider, how many tables does Highpockets have currently and how many total after the expansion?

I wish them the best,

Ken

I went there two years ago for the Jr Nationals, did not get a chance to play much except for a few hours at night on the older diamond table there. Looked like a good room with plenty or area for people, that pit in the middle and the video game part is very nicely done. Most rooms in the country don't have nearly the space for this stuff.

BEF could do well to hold the Nationals in WI again since the BCAPL events won't have enough tables this year to have the juniors play there.

i am just going off memory "1st thing to go as you age" 16 -9's and 9 bar tables. he is adding 2 of each which will mean 19 9 footers and 11 bar tables.

i did not think to ask what kind of tables. is it too much to ask for some diamonds? lol.

Tracy

I recently moved back to the area from middle TN. I went to high pockets to try out a joss west cue I recently bought. I hadn't been in there for years. To make a long story short it was a great atmosphere. Everyone was friendly , having a good time , a great place to play. Tracy came up and talked to me like I'd known him for years. He's a great guy and good for the game. I will be a regular from now on. Everyone needs to visit soon.

The new tables will be Diamonds. I was kidding Tracy last night about putting a billiard table in there. :D He said he would like to have one someday but not this time.

I agree with everything all have said before me and more. Tracy is a great guy and I hope to see him again soon. Lorider, please pass on my well wishes to him. Thanks

Better than karaoke and a dance floor!

up date....

tracy finally got the diamonds in. 2- 9's and a 7'it took up a lil seating room for leagues even though he added some space when the restaurant closed down. he did not replace any of the gold crowns or valleys.. just added 3 more tables.

well worth it though .
