Ok, I started playing 3C last year around this time. I started out with a handicap of 8 and over the past year have slowly moved up to being a 14. The owner of the shop has been talking about raising me up to 15. Right now we're having a league tournament at the pool hall. We have 15 members in the league and everyone plays everyone else at their own pace. We have a month to finish all of our matches. Last night I was in my final match against a guy that is a 25. Around the 24th frame I had 6 and he was on 14. I stepped up to the table and ran 7 to put me on the hill. 2 more innings and I finished it off. I've made plenty of runs of 4 but have never been able to get past it. I finally got past it, and with shining colors too. At the 5th point everyone on the tables next to ours stopped playing. It got dead silent in there on my 7th point and on the 8th, I just missed it and everyone went "Ahhhhhhh!!!!" and then started clapping for the high run.

I know a lot of people here probably run 7's all the time but for me it's a milestone. The shop owner moved me up to 15 points too.

I wonder how long it's going to be before I do that again???

Mully; Hi; Excelent run! After you receive the book and DVD you'll find yourself putting more of those kind of runs together more often.

Congrats;

Nice run! That's impressive, especially in the short time that you have been playing...

I started playing about six months ago and have ran several 5's against a few of the guys, however I haven't exceeded that, yet :)

The runs will come when you don't worry about them. Just play the game and concentrate on improving. My high run was 8 for a very long time and my next high run was not 9 or 10, it was an 11! So, I didn't think about it, I just played and a high run came. Six months later, I ran a 12. High runs are great, but they really don't mean a whole lot. Just play better and the runs will come every once in a while.

Good work!!!

High runs are worth 5 bucks per high run, plus another 5 per point past that. Since I'm a 14 my high run for the money is 6. He's got a chart on the wall. Since this was tournament play the money wasn't given.
