I have a deluxe Cue smith and just got done cutting a ton of shafts. I was oiling everything up, and noticed that have a piece missing. I can not find it anywhere. The carridge that rides on the track, there is a threaded hole below the micro adjustmant dial it is threaded and has a spring and a brass block in the inside. Can anyone tell me or show me a picture of what I am looking for or what is missing. Thanks JIMM

Sounds like you ain't missing anything if you have the brass block (nut) and the spring to let the carriage follow the taper bars, on my deluxe there is a threaded hole like yours but the threaded rod and dial have been removed so the spring can be used.--Leonard

I guess that would explain why I cannot find and pieces. I must have not noticed it before. why do you suppose the the hole is threaded?

Here is a thought, Why not ask Mr. Hightower?

The hole is there for using the regular dial on the non spring loaded slides. It has to be removed when I use the double stack slides like you have.
