My break has always been the weakest part of my game, as a quote from Earl " I couldn't break an egg ". I rented Charlie's break video. I have applied his principles which I had to do some practicing with (timing ) and went to the room yesterday to play a match. Got some noticeable breaks which drew compliments !! The guy got up on me 5 -zip before I knew I was there. But with some solid breaks and play won the match 10-7..Finally it doesn't feel like I'm breaking with a toothpick.. Thanks Hillbilly..Smack em Hard

This is a positive review so it won't get much notice here. :shocked2:

You should post it in the review section. Charlie "Hillbilly" Bryant has a ton of good stuff to share.

Is there a way to actually buy his stuff on DVD to keep at home? Or does he only offer rentals?

I like to go back and re-watch videos to pick up what I miss. If it's a 2 day rental, I'll probably only get to watch it once and then I'd have to rent it again later. I'd rather not do that.

Now, this is why I am doing these videos! I am so glad that my break lesson helped you improve and I hope you continue to grow. So few people understand the importance of a solid break and it takes people like you, testifying that it was one of the factors that helped you win your match. Congrats on your win... may you have many more.

"What good is the break if it is the only shot you get?"

There is no greater feeling (for me) in the world than going to league, noticing a players break change and recognizing it as "Hillbilly Style"! He said that he watched the video, loved it and noticed instant results in his break.

I love me some hill billy. Charlie is a great guy and loves to teach. He will help you improve plus he is very entertaining.

Hmmm Couldn't find the break video. Just the Pocketspeed one.

I didn't see a break video either. There's something in the other videos section, but I'm not sure if you'd call it an instructional. I only got see a second of it, as I'm at work.

Charlie, I just watched your Glass City match against Basavich for the winner's bracket hot seat. Great stuff. I like your style.

I lived in Houston from 2005-2009. If I had known you were there, I would have looked you up for lessons.

That was before I even knew AZB existed, however.

Wanted to say thanks again Hillbilly...I tortured this guy again today ( same one) ...had him whining , crying , sitting in his chair dying...his name is Billy..I want to call him "can't get to the hill Billy"...no offense to you , but I thought it was funny..

I watched one of Charlie's explanations of timing on the break on YouTube some years back, and I feel like that one piece of information has greatly improved this aspect of my game. I'm not a big guy (5'9" with the right shoes on and 150lbs wet), but for me to consistently put down a 20mph break, it gets a reaction out of people.

Big ups to the 'Billy!
