his weakness is not being honest

This is why P.G.A. golfers play for $ millions ,they have integrity call rules violations on themselves. Sponsors dont want the bs in pool.

Until you get enough feed ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) it's impossible to herd cats/lions/snakes or leopards.

Called foul on himself

In the Derby City Classic three years ago, I saw Orcollo foul while playing one pocket. His opponent, I think it may have been Appleton, was not even watching the table. Orcollo called the foul on himself. I thought, "What a rarity, an honest pool player".

It all sounds good however I don't see a lineman raising his hand after a touchdown saying he was holding. Or a outfielder saying he trapped the ball on the game winning out ,, or a tennis player saying his foot was on the line on his match winning serve
I could go on all day ,

Since when has the game of pool been a game of honor and integrity
Ding ding ding ,,,, never

Maybe you're right. Maybe there is no integrity in any sports. There certainly is plenty of gamesmanship occurring in almost everything I watch, from baseball to boxing. But at least most spectator sports have officials to enforce the rules.

If pool players are going to get caught cheating on video, they have to realize that casual viewers will eventually loose interest and the sport will never grow like they hope it will. However, too many pool players are way too shortsighted to see that. Get what I can for me today and let tomorrow sort itself out when it gets here.

For the TV table, which is being televised for the future, they really should have a full-time ref doing all the full-time racking. What a joke!

Remember a few years ago when Barry had Ladies to rack the balls and girls who walked around the table letting the fans know which game was to follow with a board with the next game number on it. I liked that and I thought it added some class and took the rack mechanics out of the equation. I wonder why he didn't continue that format. I know the fans liked it because I sure did.

The only thing constant is "change".

That's easy. The officials hand out heavy penalties for illegal actions. Virtually all organized sports have officials, refs, umpires, etc. to keep players in line, so it's become an accepted part of the game for most viewers that bad behavior/illegal actions will be punished.

In pool, however, there is usually not a ref standing there watching each shot, so players must behave like gentlemen and police themselves. Even in pro matches there is rarely a ref watching the entire game. Too bad - it really classes up the game - but the money in pro pool simply is not there yet for an army of trained refs to follow the tourneys.

How does that speak to the integrity of the players? Win or lose, they're all making boatloads of money; yet, even under threat of severe penalty, they go about acting like murderers and petty thugs.
