I know these are very inexpensive sticks but I am curious about when Wilson made cues. I paid $30 for the matched pair.

Wilson didn't make cues, they just branded them.

Those are Taiwan made cues. I would guess eighties for those ones?

I bought an all Birdseye one in the mid 90's new from a local Wal-Mart type store in Arizona. It wasn't the worst player. Turned out to be a good breaker. Gave it to a kid who wanted to learn to shoot. I think I payed around $30 for it.

I've actually seen a handful of them (Wilson branded and otherwise similar types) that had an amazing piece of wood in them and a few (very few) that had amazing splices and veneers. Not many, but they are out there.

In fact, there is a pretty darn good and respected cue maker who used one for a blank. No, I won't out him....or the cue.... ;)

As you say, they can shoot half decent. Generally the ferrules suck.

WOW , thats a cool display . Nice old cues , but over a fireplace , I think they will look like boomerangs , Soon . looks Great tho . jim

I bought one of those in the early 80's at K-Mart. I think it was around $30. There was another model with a SS joint and a Steve Mizerak signature for about $50. The cue I had seemed to work pretty good, was straight and hit OK. I still have it but have converted it to a J/B cue that I don't use anymore.

Cool display as mentioned.
