Can't really tell from Youtube but It seemed he was playing with the regular fat taper Asian variety - the same taper you get with cheap cues off Amazon.

I really don't know what to make of Peri cues, they have brand feel of a generic Chinese cue maker with custom cue maker prices for their inlayed cues and I really don't like the logo in the wrap area (at least when predator did it they put in the panther which looks nicer than just a Peri logo). The P20-K shaft is very nice, but it's $600 for a maple shaft, even Mezz does not do that LOL
The base shaft depicted is cylindrical-ish till about half way then gets visually conical. I guess starting at 12.75 mm, that should be comfortable well down the shaft. Incidentally, that one is only 100 bucks list.
