I'm getting ready to leave for Toledo. The players' meeting for the pro event is tomorrow night, November 9th, and the pro tournament will begin Wednesday, November 10th, through Sunday, November 14th!

As with most tournaments of this magnitude, I'm really looking forward to a great week up ahead. The list of players on the Glass City Open website is strong, and the activities are abundant: mini-tournaments, amateur tourneys, "Beat the Champ" exhibitions in the main lobby, action in the tournament room 24/7, pool vendors offering books, cues, clothing, and all sorts of cool pool paraphernalia. The whole hotel will be full of pool players, railbiards, and pool enthusiasts, and the designated match times sure make it nice for all to enjoy their tournament experience.

If I am able to hook up my laptop in the hotel with no computer-related problems, I will post here on this thread about anything noteworthy. So, if you all have any questions pertaining to the tournament as a whole, I may be able to provide some answers in my limited capacity as a professional railbird. :p

The tables being used are Diamonds with the Aramith Super Pro balls. I'm not sure if the Sardo rack is being utilized. Scott "The Shot" Smith will be the tournament director for the pro event.

Will the Scorpian sting triumphantly again? Will Buddy "The Rifleman" Hall's shot be heard around the world? Will King Jim Rempe make his way to the throne? Will Earl the Pearl shine once again? Will Toledo experience a major Earthquake :p ? Will Danny Harriman's powerful break land him in the driver's seat? Will we hear Kid Delicious' King Kong roar? Will Rodney rocket his way into first place again? A personal favorite and one to watch, will Larry Nevel make his mark and win another big one? Or will the winner be one of the new kids on the block who battled their way to fame through a tough field of players?

Well, I'm out of here and on the road again. Win or lose, I know there is a good time to be had for all, to include me! :D

Hey JAM!

I might get up that way, Talked to Di yesterday and I might be able to swing a night. It should be a really good time.

For all that who have not attended this event, it's a must!

If I don't make it, and as I have said, take some good pics. Give me a good wave!
