As some of you know, I just moved to Illinois and have been working on my home pool room. It's about 90% finished! I have installed a players table, the table light and the wall mountable cue display and accessory racks. You can see photos on my website, www.zimsrack.com and click on the link on the right "Home Pool Room".

Please post some comments/complaints!!
Thanks,
Zim

Looks great Zim, especially the mountable cue display. I'm in the beginning stages of my home pool room, just need to get enough saved up for a decent table. Hopefully mine looks as good as yours!

Your pool room looks great and I am truly envious as its my dream to have my own pool room at home again. The only thing that I'd change (room permitting) is that I'd definitly have a nine foot table instead of a seven foot.Take care,RJ

Zim,

Nice room!! Some would wonder why the 7' table as opposed to a 9' but I had a 7' table at home for many years and found it to be a great practice table. You're going to have a lot of fun in there. If you do start having kids, you'll probably have to check the pockets now and then. My kids used to put their small toys in them! We had several talks about that!

Have a lot of fun in your beautiful looking room,
Rick

Hey Zim very nice , I'm hoping to have one in the next 6 months or so. We used to have an old 8' bar table which was a good mix between the 7 ft bar tables and the 9 ft. tables, I guess it just depends on how much room we have. B

Nice room Zim, but I don't see the miniature table and stick. Start em young. :)

Looks great Zim.

Do you have room for a couple of billiard chairs? Looks like you've got everything else covered.

Enjoy :D

I chose the 7' because of the room size. I have a miniture table setting on my desk, waiting for someone with the appropriate size. I don't plan to put actual players chairs, but instead I put a corner shelf with 2 stools. You can see the photos of the players table on the site also.

Zim's Room

Nice room Zim! When ya gonna invite us all over for the grand opening party?
I will bring some VA. mountain shine. Have fun my friend.
Don P.

Nice room Zim.. from the photos, looks like you would have enough space for at least an 8ft table. But anyways, it still a great looking room. I like the cue displays that you have. How much did you pay for those??

Where are you gonna place the lathe and mill Zim? lol
I could have put an 8' table, but didn't want to use shorter cues. No way in h*ll would I have the AZ Tourney at my house (too many fights may break out). The lathe will go in the garage!

Thanks,
Zim

The Party

Come on ZIM, I promise I will behave myself. I is a good boy these days. I don't start no twable. I will bring some bouncers if ya is worried about that. I am sure the good ol' AZ boys will stay and help clean up (rebuild) the place!
Don P.
I will be in the red caddy sleeping there the night before the party!! :D

Look at the bright side Zim, if a bunch of us AZer's was there, you wouldn't need to turn on the heater because we'd provide plenty of hot air!! I still would like the opportunity to meet a bunch of you. One of these days.....!

Hey that's not funny, I put one too many in the pocket and now my poolroom is a babys room, my table is currently pushed up against a wall and my wife has been hinting to get rid of it, I've been putting her off as I look for a bigger place to live because while I love my daughter to death, I miss my pool table :( Hopefully someday soon I can have my cake and eat it too....

Nice room Zim, and be careful or you too can have your pool room confiscated by a new addition to the family. ;)

Too bad you couldn't fit a bigger table but if you don't have the space your pretty much helpless. I'd rather have a 7ft table and use regular cues then have an 8ft table and use those annoying short cues :)
