Honduran Rotation run-out....!!

Pretty cool! I've never seen this before - thanks for the video.

I searched a bit for the rules, and saw a few variations. Is the game points based? I gave it a try tonight and was able to run a table. But, I slopped in a combo early [I did hit the lowest ball first]. I assume that "slop" counts? If not, it should! The layout is tough!

Anyone who clears that layout deserves a tip of the hat.... so a tip o' the hat to you, sir. Slop or not....u still gotta be good enough for the other 14.

Can someone explain what happened on the 4 to 5? Was it topspin with right, so the first angle was as a result of the topspin and then the right took over to send it opposite angle back to the original rail?
I find hitting the ball rail first sends the cue ball across the table off the object ball, then the sidespin grabs the second rail to bring the cue ball up table. It's definitely not a technique I can use reliably or precisely yet but it's not that hard to do. Sending the cue ball in between the balls on the opposite rail and then again on the other rail...wow. I can send the ball around the table okay but threading between the other balls is something else!

It was the right english that caused most of effects that you see in the shot although the top contributed to the cue ball going a bit forward of the tangent line as well.

The whole key to this specific shot is that it was played slightly rail first. When you do that the cue ball rebounds either along the tangent line or only slightly forward of the tangent line (which is what happened in this particular case) depending on just how close to the four your rail first hit was (and it doesn't take but minutes differences in that distance to make a difference) among other things (shot angle, shot speed, amount of top used, etc).

We know he went rail first because of the cue ball path here. He used a decent amount of right english as evidenced by the amount that it reversed off of the second rail. Had he hit the four ball slightly first with all that right english the cue ball would have instead gone substantially forward of the tangent line but it rebounded nearer to the tangent line angle since it was a rail first hit.

When you hit the object ball even slightly first the cue ball would have gone way forward of the tangent line with the amount of right english he used and there wouldn't have been enough reverse english off of that second rail to be able to bring it all the way back to where you needed it because it would have had to first "undo" all that forward cue ball movement just to get back to the tangent line and then it would have to come back some more on top of that. But when you hit slightly rail first so that the cue ball rebounds nearer to the tangent line angle going closer to straight across the table, well in that case the reverse off the second rail isn't having to "undo" much or any forward travel and all of that reverse off the second rail is able to go towards bringing the cue ball back behind the tangent line.

This is actually fun and challenging drill to do. I tried couple dozen try and did not succeed yet. I made this in past when I first saw video.
Had one fun one where i get awful start and try shoot myself out from it.. I got close... i think.. decided to upload it just for fun here :)

Here is my best sequence of attempts: 2 runs, back-to-back. I got to the 13 ball in the first run pretty cleanly. I barely missed the cool 5-rail 13 / mega-top 14+15 combo to get out! The second run had an early lucky roll, but it helped open the table. Was able to work through the rest from there! Whew!

7 minutes of mediocre pool that you will never get back! lol

I remember seeing this game in Mexico in the mid 80’s on brutal equipment. Zero chance anyone could run out. On good equipment it’s triple tough action.

Cory set them up in order once and spent a long time before he ran out. That was probably 12-14 years ago. I think I saw a thread about it here actually. Impressive

Fatboy<——no chance to run out😃
