Hiya all,

im going to sell my current playing and best hitting cue(imo) as my James White is due soon.

90% to 95% condition, couple of nicks in the forearm. 2 12.8mm
shafts with ivory ferrule with moori tips. Ivory joint and hoppe ring at ebony butt.
Rings at A&B consists of ivory slotted block each separated by 2 sets of
maple/green/blue/black colored veneers with 4 silver rings. 5 ebony points with 4 veneers. 19oz. Made in 2004. Cortland wrap. The shaft that has been played with most has a line at the ferrule which doesnt affect play(its been there for weeks now, doesnt seem to increase its length). I have not played with the other shaft but i believed its been used slightly. $1750 shipped.

And you are no idiot.
Unless you don't raise your price and I have never given this kind of advice publicly before.

And

I would have to get 19. And shipping.
What can I say! I like green. Hay did you catch that? Was that money green or green veneers?
I see value but I have to admit I didn't read about the post and just saw the pictures. I didn't see the ferrel issue. Still I like it. And I have never seen the cue before or know the poster. Just friendly advice.
Nick :)

Ferrules are an easy fix. How's the butt ..... overall seems to be an easy cleanup job on a great looking cue. Although with the way the market is these days......
Got pic of the other cues?

Nick:

Seeing as the seller did not include a photo of the butt sleeve of the Bender, how can you say that it is not a hoppe cue? Please advise.

thanks for the comments, and thanks for the advice Nick, given the market these days im not sure what is high and low :)

Pics of the hoppe ring and buttsleeve are up at the first post! Butt is clean, no dings, dents.

cue comes with 2 shafts, both have been used and are the original 2 shafts with matching ringwork.

Hoppe,s were 4 point cues without fancy rings.

The Cortland wrap and ring work make this cue a total knock-out!! If i wasn't in the process of buying another SW, this would be my next acquisition. Good Luck!

Bump for a really beautiful cue. I think Bender didn't make too many of these so they are pretty limited. Did this happen to be Benny's cue before, by any chance?

yep i think Mr Bender only made 6 of these. Nope, i got mine direct from Mr Erik Lee, not Benny's ;) Plays super, and a nice looker too, maybe a few months down the road ill regret selling this :o

WOW! Like a few others here, I really, really like this cue.

However, given current market conditions and the cracked ivory ferrule that needs replacing, I respectfully disagree with Nick. I'm thinking closer to $1500.00..... JMO!! ICBW!!

I really love the looks of this cue and the Bender hit is one of the Top5, in my book.

Sweet cue. I haven't had a Bender in many years.

Maybe if someone buys my -R- cue I'll be a player for this one..........

Every year

After Labor Day cue prices take off. So when is this Labor Day? Little more than a week. And this is a out of the ordinary Bender.
Usually the cue would have more work and be double.
So all in all I like it. I really have a limited knowlege of Bender cues so I could be wrong about the value here but I see value especially if it plays as nice as it looks.
Nick :)

the Benders were down before the market even got bad.5 pointers could be had for $1000 6 months ago.also it is very critical to makes sure there is no warpage on the cues.coming from Alaska, they are more prone than others to warpage.

Great point. I bought one through my old deceased:( friend JOHN several years ago and had to send it back to get the handle replaced to the tune of 4 hun. Something about atmospheric changes, etc.........it was before I started wearing my hat;)

I do believe one of these cues sold this year for $1200 (and the guy was begging for action to move the cue) on ebay and was also linked to ebay from this forum (did not find it using our search engine). I also know that at one time Indyq had four of these hoppe style cues listed for $2100 while you may be able to get them for $1900 (and that was brand new). So maybe closer to what is noted above for a cue that is used and may need some attention.

Currently own a Bender and do love the way it plays in my hands.
Would love to get another but hopefully this cue will find a home.
Myron
