I'm thinking about buying one. It would be from a cue maker not a private purchase. I'd like to stay around $650-$1000 if possible. Who are some of the quality makers. Could also be a production issue and bumperless of course. Who is your cue guy. How long did you wait for it? Thanks, Frank

The Hoppe is my favorite design..with inlays on the points...

Hoppe

Try Lee Peppers (LP Cues). He makes a nice cue and should be able to hit your price range.

I recommend Bob Owen of Shurtz Custom Cues. He made my bumperless Hoppe and it's a great looking/playing cue.

I believe I waited about 5 months for it.

I second Paul Dayton. His wood is the best for the money. His taper and shaftwood is second to none. You're in a great State for cuemakers. Can't go wrong with Pete Ohman either...Omen Cues. My cues from Paul usually take about 4 mos. You really don't want one made any quicker than that. You can get a beauty for $1000-$1200...Tom

Thanks guys. Hey...feel free to post pics. Would enjoy seeing them.

Are you talking about a titlist conversion of a Hoppe cue, or a Hoppe style (ivory ring in butt sleeve)?

Comments on these Schons. (other than the round points).

OK, Hoppe style. You should be able to find a pretty nice one for upwards of $1000.
