I may be asking a strange question, but was wondering what types of tips do house cues use, or are used when replacing them. Any recommendations?
I am looking to replace some tips on house cues , but not sure what works for the long run.

Press the crap out of Triangles or LePros. I've used those and they hold up great when you really squeeze them first.

If you want to spring for a layered tip, the Super Pro holds up really well and is still pretty cheap.

I prefer to use elk masters. The LePros and triangles have a tendency to have chunks missing from the bangers. I have no idea how they do it, but that's my experience. The softer tips seem to hold up much better.

When I was doing house cues, I found that milkduds from Muellers was the best bet. They hold up better to the use and abuse but still play very well. 13mm and 14mm

Triangle tips ( might be one of the best non layered tips made

Triangle or LePro cheap and easy to install.

You can get 5th Street 5 layered tips for about a buck each on eBay and those are fairly decent tips also.

Thanks for the replies, I always used Le-Pro in the past, but was not sure exactly what those house cues came with, Some great posts thanks again.

Lepros

LePros - decent tip for the money, good playability & easy to work with, especially if doing this by hand.

Triangle & Milkdud next, (due to costs) but you would get a better playing tip.

Remember that with Lepro's not all 50 tips in the box are 100%. Some are much less & not really usable. (Check each before you install)
