Matt "Panda" Lung and Akira ____ split 1 and 2. $500 a piece. I think Asgar Schoff and Russ Martin might have taken 3rd/4th or something to that effect. I played in it. Won my first match then went down hill from there... the only downfall of USPPA is that people can sandbag the hell out of their ratings and play an even match with their opponents who are 2 or 3 balls weaker. Regardless, that's what went down on Sunday.
Matt and Akira are two of the nicest guys you will ever meet, I was glad to hear they took 1st and 2nd. Matt has been one of my closest friends in the pool world for a long time.
Agreed.. Matt's been my friend for a few years now and as of the last several months, we've been running around together around the rooms in LA. Both real humble folks. you play at Plush?
Also CORRECTION: I was just at Andrew Park's getting a new tip put on, He told me he got 3rd/4th.. so the other names mentioned, well I guess one of them got the 5th/6th spot. I left after the 3rd round anyway so this is all what I could gather from the rest who were there.
