House Pro - Golf Model

I am curious to know room owners thoughts on "House Pro" players. More specifically, would a room owner be open to a situation modeled after the golf industry where most courses have a house pro that offers lesson, and also runs the pro shop. Many rooms don't have a pro shop, and even those that do, offer suffer from inadequate attention to retail sales as a potential solid revenue stream.

In golf, many course allow the house pro to order, stock, and sell the merchandise, with a percentage of the net going to the course and the rest to the pro. This enables the course to have someone knowledgeable and trustworthy (to the customers) dedicated to helping the retail sales, which allows them see more revenue from retail sales. It also helps increase the value of their course by having a PGA certified staff member to help with lessons, organizing tournaments, and bringing more "bang for the buck" to their venue.

Would any room owners find it beneficial to institute a program like this?
