If I went to Houston where is a good place to look for cue work, connections, players, may be cue sales? I heard it was really good.

Houston's major poolhalls:
Bogie's Billiards (24/7)

Legends Billards (home of the Houston Open)

Deep Pockets (diamond barboxes and Pro-am 9 fts, big place)

Big Tyme Billiards

There are APA and BCA leagues operating in these poolhalls along with a large BCA league operating out of a Slick Willie's near Westheimer/Dairy Ashford. There's a few other BCA/APA leagues operating out of smaller poolhalls all over Houston.

Tournaments in the area:
Tiger Amateur Tour (most popular)
Kim White's Lone Star Billiards tour
weekly tournaments can be found a few days out of the week anywhere from Deep Pockets in Alvin up to Big Tyme Billiards in Spring

If you are coming this weekend it might be pretty bare in terms of seeing many of the better players. Most are travelling to Louisiana for the White Diamond's tournament. See the tournament announcement section. Generally Wednesdays at Bogies is league night, and they have tournaments most Saturdays run by Kim White.

Clicks Billiards - Has has a 9ball tourny on Sat and league play of wed/thur
a good crowd

Fast Eddies - League play Tue/Thur at two locations - good crowd

Check the schedule for the Lone Star tour and The Texas Amature torny's
