How can I find a 60" cue. I am going to spare all the details, but I really believe I could benefit from a longer cue. I don't have the budget that it appears some of the "cue collectors" on this forum have to have one custom made just to find I was wrong. If I knew more people at the pool hall where I shoot league, I would try to find someone that has a custom 60+" cue. I can't see myself asking around to people I don't know . Their has to be something I can do, any suggestions!

There are a couple of ways to approach this. If you want a cue that is 60 inches overall, a shaft that is longer may work out. Not too hard to find a maker who will do that for you.

If you just want to make your present cue 60 inches long, that's not too hard either. I suppose one of the simplest ways is to go to a vacuum cleaner store and get one of those pipes that you can slip over the butt of your cue, take it down to the end, and cut it off at the correct length. Voila, instant 60 inch (or other length!) cue. Shouldn't weigh too much extra either!

Other possibilities are out there, but they'll cost a bit more :D

you can get a 60 inch cue no sweat. I was just playing around with dimensions, wanted a much larger butt made on a cue......i contacted david schmelke and he made me a 60" steel joint 4 point cue shipped for like 140. He did everything i asked and was very easy to work with, 30" butt 30" shaft. Personally i cant tell any difference between that and a 31" shaft, 29" butt........so if you already have a stick get a cue maker to make you a 31" shaft, youll just need a little stronger taper than usual so it doesnt get whippy......i have this setup with my schon and it works great.

you might try these folks

I bought a long cue from them just to experiment with myself. Get the length and weight you want and some choice of tips and such for $100-150 dollars.

Try to find a used Kompan cue - Jack Kompan makes his cues 59" - 60" standard and you can usually find a used one for around $300. Do a search for Kompans in the Wanted/For Sale section.

another possible approach?

If you only want to try a cue that long and really want to keep it cheap, why not look online at Muellers? They have snooker one pc cues for a very low price, maybe $20. I believe they are about 60 inches! A great way to try it for a while before you invest. I use a 59 1/2 cue myself, just a standard butt on a McDermott cue, and some longer shafts made for me. Just make sure your case can hold a longer shaft, some cannot!
