How come there's not a mosconi cup section?

Because everybody is tired of watching Europe take home the 2nd place trophy, it's redundant after awhile!:) You guys don't really figure to have a chance do you?.............Marc

not particularly a complaint, just wondering

I dont think there is much interest over here- I know i dont find much to like about it. Gimme a real tournament-not a made for TV, 2 team event with embarrassing spectators.

I beg to differ. There is quite some interest among the players in my area, but sadly no live TV coverage in the US. We'll probably have to wait well into 2007 to see the matches.

Personally I think that Mosconi Cup is a great event and fun to watch. It brings the same type of entertainment that Ryder Cup does for golf. There is nothing like healthy intercontinental competition ;-)

Judging by the activity in this thread and the other Mosconi Cup threads, i think my point is pretty well proven.

This would generate far more interest if this was one of the year's when it was on Amercian soil.

Europe's got the lead right now, and more power to them. The growing excellence of the European pool players is showing up big-time, and Europe has so many truly great players from which to choose it's team. For example, wouldn't these six players, none on Team Europe this year, make for just as tough a team as the one that was selected?

Thorsten Hohmann
Marcus Chamat
Niels Feijen
Sandor Tot
Andreas Roschkowsky
Fabio Petroni
