How Cool is this: Luther Lassiter's Ticket

I bought a copy of the story about Minnesota Fats, you know, "The Bank Shot and other Great Train Robberies.... I paid an inflated price because the book contained an autograph by Luther Lassiter. He signed his picture.

What I didn't expect were 3 ticket stubs from the 1967 Long Beach International Open wedged in the pages! One of the stubs is also signed "Best Wishes, Luther Lassiter"

I just had to share a picture. There is nothing like scoring the unexpected bonus. I search for sale ads always hoping to catch a great deal. This time I got one.

Wow...from the dates on those tickets, it seems that this tournament lasted almost a MONTH. That seems odd...I thought only the Johnston City tournaments lasted weeks like that.
