How did Bustamante make this shot

I like seeing Efren and Busty playing....old friends

I remember when Busty played Shane on TAR years ago....and Busty won.

In the post-match interview with Justin, Busty said “ I thought I played pretty good...
...Efren said I played like shit.”

You could see Efren in the background...with a hint of a smile....

Was this the match Efren shut the light switch while Shane and Busty were playing? :grin-square::grin-square::grin-square:

placing the cue ball on a dime

Sweet how he placed the cue ball on a dime after 4 rails at 31:50 :thumbup::thumbup:

I've heard people call it a banana shot, or a jitterbug. Basically, it's when the OB is close enough to the rail, that when the CB comes off or through the OB, it's so close to the rail that when the top spin takes it into contact with the rail, the CB hasn't generated enough speed (because it's so close) that the top spin on the CB is much stronger than the force of the cushion pushing the CB off. There are better examples, but this video was the only one I could find.

That. One ball was cool, but the nine and perfect shape on the ten was even more impressive.

If you have fairly new cloth & a clean CB, an the CB/ OB are about 2'-3' apart. You can REALLY stroke it with very high top. The CB will rebound/hop back 4-6" and STOP. We called it ' top stop'. Requires a very loose grip.

Looks cool.

Looks to me like he hit the one ball well left of center, so the tangent forced the cue ball into the rail, but he also used follow on the cue ball. It was hit pretty firmly so the initial force was into the rail and a little rebound off the rail, before the follow caught the felt and spun the cue ball back towards the rail again.

I'm not second guessing Bustamande, but for normal people, is it the correct shot?

I would have played it very differently, medium soft phase, full left spin on the cue ball and aim at the rail just before the 1. The 1 is basically unmissable, cue ball contacts rail first, nudges the 1 into the pocket and then hits long rail, left spin takes effect and land almost where Busty landed (maybe a little more center table, depending on the phase of the shot).

Thoughts?
