It'll take the winning team at the Predator 10 Ball Relay Championship Of The Planet to destroy the TV table before any action will be taken.
Whooo that was a long way to go...

Us Open final winner ,Stands on the table. Shows zero respect for the Game IMHO.
Let the Arrows Fly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is a total red herring… Zero pool to sweat and bitching (if that’s what you want to call it) about winners standing on a pool table have nothing to do with each other. I didn’t hear an argument/debate why it’s not disrespectful. And by the way, I love many of the players that are climbing on the table like it’s a jungle gym but that’s not pool. Many things go on in a pool room, even arguments and debates, climbing on tables is not one of them. We've gone from basically zero pro pool to sweat to having all sorts of events/streams and all people can bitch about is the winner getting on the table. In no way does this disrespect the game. Some of these fossils(and i'm one at 64) need to relax.
Some of them look so damn awkward up there. Being told to do something is different from actually wanting to or instinctually doing it. So I'd say there's something still pretty robotic about it... or like a monkey on an organ grinders leash...Agreed! I‘ve always thought getting on the table is disrespectful and contrary to how we all were taught to respect the equipment that we all share. Standing on a table would be that last that anyone would do before they got shown the door in any poolroom.
Now I don’t think it’s good for the game for the players to act like robots and I do like to see players individual personalities to come through even if it’s someone‘s abrasive personality.
It has been going on for quite some time and I’m always a little embarrassed for the player that does it. It is MONKEY see MONKEY do.

lol… I obviously can’t read Fedor’s mind but I thought he looked as though yeah this is what I’m supposed to do not necessarily what I want to do. He didn’t stay up there very long and beat his chest. I can respect your opinion for not caring one way or another. I could have complained years ago but didn’t care enough to start a thread but since the thread has been started it’s a definite thumbs down for me.Some of them look so damn awkward up there. I do have zero care as to whether they get up there or not though to be honest...
We are all the Pool Table Rights Commission!Didn't hear the table complain to the Pool Table Rights Commission. So don't know what the fuss is about
Agree that he looked super awkward, and some others have too. Some of them totally owned it though, and made the most of their time up there and looked like that's exactly what they would have done anyway.lol… I obviously can’t read Fedor’s mind but I thought he looked as though yeah this is what I’m supposed to do not necessarily what I want to do. I like seeing the raw emotion of a winner, and they deserve to show it. If they want to get up there and dance, then they can have at it. I totally understand why some people see it as negative, and I think it's more to do with it looking more than a little forced, rather than a desired action.I can respect your opinion for not caring one way or another. I could have complained years ago but didn’t care enough to start a thread but since the thread has been started it’s a definite thumbs down for me.
This made me laugh! I hope they be climbing up on any and all brands; Rasson, Diamond, Brunswick and the rest - We can kick any and all discrimination from the game we loveWe are all the Pool Table Rights Commission!that’s why we are debating!
stopped? they literally tell them to do it lolIf Matchroom or the table sponsor wanted it stopped, it would have.
Big fan of Rasson tables. Have played on the Accura, Ox, Iron Man, Wolf and Mr. Sung. Their Chinese 8 tables are nice too.Wasn't it a Rasson table where the whole team jumped up? To me that would be great advertising for the structural integrity of their table.

pool table is not furniture for one thing. look folks i don't think you have to worry about this being commonplace in your local old folks home game room. they guy wins the biggest event in the game and celebrates a little. get over it. i'd also advise against watching any other major championships because its highly likely to happen again.we were taught as children
that you do not climb on the furniture
ok fine someone wins a world title
and jumps on a pool table to celebrate
good for them
saw some baseball highlights tonight-
the home team did a lot of celebrating
their homeruns but ended up losing the
game 14-7
and some nfl touchdown celebrations
are so spectacular
it’s like they never scored a touchdown
before in their whole life
There's really nothing to get over. It’s just people having a friendly debate or arguing their opinion... which ever side of the fence a person is on, some argue better than others. In this court of law I don’t hear anyone one of the shade tree attorneys suggesting that it’s so serious that the action or player should be banned.pool table is not furniture for one thing. look folks i don't think you have to worry about this being commonplace in your local old folks home game room. they guy wins the biggest event in the game and celebrates a little. get over it. i'd also advise against watching any other major championships because its highly likely to happen again.
I think it’s about the game not the table. Please correct me if I'm wrong: in the instances where the winners jump on the table, aren't those the finals where there will be no more play on that table, and it will soon be disassembled / moved? If that's the case, I don't see it as disrespecting the table. It's going to be reassembled somewhere else from scratch, leveled, and re-clothed anyway.
Now, doing that in my local hall, yeah, I would expect to be tossed and asked never to return.
So a guy is teaching his grandson to shoot pool. Kid has a few friends over and beats them all. He then jumps on the table showing his " raw emotion".pool table is not furniture for one thing. look folks i don't think you have to worry about this being commonplace in your local old folks home game room. they guy wins the biggest event in the game and celebrates a little. get over it. i'd also advise against watching any other major championships because its highly likely to happen again.
A swift backhand...So a guy is teaching his grandson to shoot pool. Kid has a few friends over and beats them all. He then jumps on the table showing his " raw emotion".
When he tells gramps he saw Shane do it, what should Grandpa's reply be?
