How did this become OK ?

Kinda like the race drivers spraying champagne on the podium...it's become a tradition of sorts. Not recommended after winning a local bar tournament, however.

Us Open final winner ,Stands on the table. Shows zero respect for the Game IMHO.
Let the Arrows Fly !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
grow up .. who cares. What did it hurt? It didn’t hurt a diamond table I promise you that. No one was playing on it in the tournament afterwards so it didn’t affect play. pool is more popular then it has been in decades. the crowd was packed and buzzing. prize money is up and growing more all the time and people like you are angry because the winner stood on the table after winning one of the biggest tournaments of the year for about 30 seconds. 🙄 people like you wake up angry looking for things to bitch about

I have never and will never win a Matchroom Event but that does not exclude me from having a Opinion. The Highlight of my Pool Playing was running a 205 in The Classic Cue Fayetteville Georgia 06-07 2010 but I am sure that is far below your ability's so I will now Shut My Mouth.
That's one helluva accomplishment. Hats off to you.

I run 168 in a summer of trying

Over 200 is stronger than cat piss....you sir are redeemed.

No harm standing on the table. Especially with the top players these days. They are super lean and fit. If I have work to do above the table I’ll stand on mine as well. I would bet that just about everyone with a commercial table does the same from time to time.

Kinda a dufus thing to do. Seems to be the style now though. Wait until you see a Mosconi Cup final. Afterwards entire teams climb on the table, hold hands, and try to coordinate jumping up and down like school girls.

I think it is something to do with those uniforms they put them in that look more than a little sissy. Soon as they hire me as clothing coordinator everybody will be in blue jeans and black t-shirts. Should amp up the intimidation factor especially if I make them grease their hair back!

No more pretty boys with shiny shirts!

I’m ok with track suits and pinky rings myself. What I really don’t like is the vest and bow tie bit. For our snuuuuuuker is better folks I know it is a “waistcoat” over there but I’m using pool/ ‘Murican English. The vest now tie crap makes no sense on any level. It generally follows the dinner jacket look. So of course if the match is in the morning or afternoon it is improper. And a gentleman wouldn’t remove his jacket in public, right? And we don’t do morning semi formal anymore really. So I guess if we stick to more formal the players should wear morning suits in the day and change into white tie for the evening. Or we could dress normally and not look stupid. Jeans and t shirts sound ok.

No more milk drinkers!!!! 🥛

As long as pool players aint wearing the waistband of their pants around their thighs I don't really care what they wear cause that is just the dumbest shit I have ever seen in my life. I guess I don't care if they are jumping on tables either as long as it aint mine.

i don't think they would be intimidated by the hair- and clothing style of their grandfathers, but it would at least be confusing for the euros. never underestimate the power of confusion
