Everyone who has seen The Color of Money or Rounders knows that gamblers dump. It doesn't matter if it's pool, golf, football, or poker - gamblers dump. You're not enlightening anyone to that fact. To accuse someone of dumping who a.) isn't here to defend himself because he died in a tragic accident and b.) didn't dump in the first place, just goes to show your inherent stupidity and your just plain mean-spiritedness. I loved Tony, just as they did, this has nothing to do with Tony, its about shutting up my mouth before I wize up you chumps they have been taking you all to the cleaners for years now, that is where the anger is coming from. You don't think that the people who knew Tony, or maybe didn't know Tony, would call you on that? Do you have any idea how tasteless that was? The people "trashing you" are not the bad guys here. Back to Tony for a moment, if nobody minds. I feel obligated to set some of the facts about his accident straight. His widow is a good friend of mine and I've seen the intersection where it happened. He was most likely not trying to beat the train because the train conductor or whatever said Tony never turned his head to the train -- he never saw it. The intersection is very treacherous, just a stop sign, overgrown brush....very hard to see a train if you don't stop, so if you were in a hurry and had the air-conditioning on and maybe the radio.....plus the trains were fairly infrequent. It was a terrible tragedy, one second sooner or later and he would've been spared. He was a super guy and a wonderful father. It's just so sad.

Out of my great respect for the great champion, tony, of whom I deeply respected, I have erased all of my early posts that I have made upon request of several of his personal friends.
