How do I properly clean an OB ferrule?

Use a dry Magic Eraser. I use em on my shafts to clean em up so I'm sure it'll clean up a ferrule on an OB shaft. I've heard of ppl saying to wet it, but I use it dry and it works just fine. I just used one to clean up a shaft I've had for 12 years or more for the first time and it cleaned it up really good.
*edit* I need to remind myself to buy some more of those. When you use em dry they wear out pretty darn quick.

The Magic Eraser works very well! We use it with Denatured Alcohol, but I have never tried it dry.
You can also seal up the ferrule if you like. We apply a wax to it during production, but the chalk can cut through it easily. Most players just allow it to discolor right along with the cue shaft and let it blend in, but those that want to keep it looking brand new seem to like sealing it with thin CA and polishing it up. I recommend letting a competent cuesmith or cuemaker for this, but it is a quick simple procedure.
