How do I remove a ferrule?

My advice....

I had a TS shaft that I wanted another ferrule on, so I went to Tims shop one Saturday morning to get it replaced.

Much to my shock, a torch was involved.....

There was also 30 years of experience and all the tools of the trade that are needed to do the job right.

My advice, take the shaft to a competent repairman and pay them for their expertise.

It can be done if you want, lighter heat up the ferrule got to get it pretty hot so the glue releases twist it carefully counter clockwise just in case it is a threaded ferrule remember carefully but you still will have to turn the new ferrule to match your shaft I do it all the time and I have a lathe its very fast with no mess
