How Do We Aim?

Actually the stroke only has to be straight at contact.... I don't really care if it comes in straight or on an arc but at contact it has to be on the shot line... McCreedy and many others have shown this to be true for decades now....

You can preach pendulum and fundamentals all day long but if a player cannot feel and control the tip at impact regardless of where it started from they are lacking in talent for the game....

You may improve them a ball or 2 with correct fundamentals and a repeatable pendulum stroke but without the feel/talent of knowing where the tip is at all times and controlling it... :( the best you can hope for is a high level of passion that might get them to B level.........

Renfro,

i hope you didn t get me wrong- I m here on most parts 100% with you. I am for sure not stubborn or rigid and teach like a robot to create robots :) I like for sure good fundamentals- but at least it s about to find your personal perfect setup-position (to be able to do, what you shown up-and this is to just deliver the cueball to the point you planned  ). Every humand is individual. So the toughest part is to find out, what works best for a student :)
