Customer's Jump/break cue with joint pin comming out.
I repair the joint pin. Remove the pin...clean out the old epoxy/glue...
clean up the pin...re-epoxy the pin in place...everything is ok.

About a week later, Customer comes back with the pin at the a-joint
commimg out(prong/handle)....says I must of caused it to come out when I repaired the joint pin. Want it repaired for free!!

I say no way....I did no even take that joint apart.
I told him ....the pin comes out from tighten the cue way too much when
you put it together.

Now he is telling everyone that I screwed up his cue.

What a a-hole....want to put the young kid over my knee...
spank the HELL out of him.

Alot of people that know this kid....think he is kinda weird & cocky.

After 12 years...I get my first customer that I cannot deal with.....
must be so lucky...it took soooooo long to hook up with a a-hole customer.

i have one of these locally basically gave the cue to the guy below cost as a friend thing he breaks the forearm!!! after 3 weeks. i fix it for free give it back 2 weeks later breaks the but cap 1wk later breaks the forearm in another place wants a new cue free. i say no he bad talks my cues and i ignore it becasue people like that dont spend money anyways.

the secret to success is to not try and make everyone happy lol

and i honestly dont think its hurt anything for me bussiness wise.

Hi Sax
If you built the cue, it would be less aggravation to just repair it. If you didn't build it, then you should charge because you are not responsible for mfg. defects. I put all screws in with West system, I cut a slot on each side of the screw and use a wire wheel to make sure the part of the screw going into the cue has a scratched surface for good adhesion. They're not going to loosen or have the bond of the glue break. Hope this helps you.

Hi,

Pins should not be coming out. I would examine the materials and procedure you are using and find something that is 100%.

Mike's right, just fix it now and avoid confrontation.

Good Luck,

Ditto. If It was one of mine, I'd fix it free. If someone else built it, I'd charge them.

poison cue

The cue was a Poison Jump/Break Cue.
I think the pin breaks loose of the epoxy/glue from applying too
much torque when you put the cue together.(over Time)

Some customers....no matter what you do....it's YOUR Fault his cue is
screwed up...he wants it fixed for free...or else...he will bad mouth you!

You can not please EVERYONE .... ALL of the time.....
some you will NEVER please ....they will nit pick....find something wrong!
