How do you like your cue packed and shipped?

fedex tube sent at the beginning of the week so it doesn't get stuck in a warehouse over the weekend.

ups sucks!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you feel better if your cue comes via FedEx as opposed to USPS?

I like my cues to arrive safely in timely manner :D USPS Priority or Express seems to work well for me receiving and sending. No freaking UPS Ground!!!

What kind of tapes do you like to see, masking tape, scotch tape, transperate shipping tape, black electrical tape or brown tape?

I've received cues with blue masking tape. They seem to hold well during shipping and come off easily.

Would you feel better if there are more layer of bubble wraps? How about an extra layer of wax paper on the outside to prevent it ever getting wet?

I like to see my cues in plastic sleeve and tightly wrapped with bubble wraps

Would you like to see the shafts being wrapped individually?

three partioned plastic sleeves for less expensive cues .. or wool like sleeves on expensive cues

Does it make a difference if the person's business card is included?

It just get tossed with others :D

How about a personal thank you note, how much difference does it make?

It's nice touch but personally I don't care as long as the cue is as I expect it.

Fed ex 2 day is my preferred method. They have excellent loss coverage and superior tracking. 2 day is pretty affordable. fedEx offers discounts for commercial accounts.

Inside the carton, I hate to see excess wrapping or taping. Personally, I use the triangular carton and bubble wrap, no tape. Any wrapping such as bubble wrap wound with packaging tape that needs a knife or scissors to open threatens damage to the cue.

On one piece cues, I recommend shipping in heavy PVC pipe such as schedule 80 with taped ends. I received a 100 year old full length cue snapped in half shipped USPS in a long box marked "fragile". Any long box or tube made of cardboard risks snapping the cue in half.

I Prefer FedEx, never a problem. USPS Priority Mail failed to deliver items I bought three times.

Transperate shipping tape

I don't think geting wet would be a problem but more protection is always better.

Of Course

It's a good idea.

I'd think the company cares about my business, but if it's a computer generated note and signature it wouldn't mean much.

I found a great way to ship my cue. I went to the local carpet store, and got one of the cardboard tubes that are the inside of a roll of carpet. The one I got was about 1/5 of an inch thick. I could literally (trust me) jump up and down on the tube laying on it's side, and it wouldn't buckle a bit. This thing was bulletproof. I sealed it with PVC tube-endings and aluminium tape, after wrapping the cue in just enough bubble plastic so that I could just squeeze it in. The tube was free btw. Naturally, this tube was a little heavier, with two cues and three shafts it was little under 6 pounds.

I like mine

properly shipped in a Jack Justis Pro-lite case, properly labeled with 'Snapshot' on the outside, delivered by Next Day air ... lol
