Ok nine ball is the game and you're hill hill as always .. ;-P

What would you play chosing the hig percentage way and not the aggressive way ?

You're faced with this table layout :

You shoot the six and come up short (maybe you did hit too full or just to thin or with not much spin) and you're in this situation below:

what will you shoot?

Play the safety. Glance the 7-ball (leaving it right there on the rail) and run the cue 2 rails to the opposite short rail.

This is the idea I suggested from post #2.

EDIT: The 7-ball should be only an inch or so away from where it started on the foot rail.

Of course, to play this precisely you need precision equipment like the Wei table.

That's very funny. But I actually saw Bobby Pickle make a shot very similar to that at the DCC 4 or 5 years ago. He was playing Ralf Souquet and it was a 3 ball layout.

Bobby played a previous safety and was GREAT in its own right leaving Ralf with a kick. I don't recall where the ob was on Bobby's next shot but the only hook he had was behind an up table ball just where the 8 is in the diagram.

He played 3 rails and the CB damn near nested behind the 8 ball. The place went NUTS!

Bobby lost that match and ended up finishing 6th if I recall correctly. But he played the two greatest consecutive safeties I've ever seen.

Regards,
Jim

at that angle id play the to hit the seven ball thin to try to leave it close to the rail and bring whitey 2 rails by the nine ball...

take the 6 rail first with high outside English. you WILL get an angle on the 7

I would have hit the 6 with top right, instead of of low left (probably inexperiance lol) and I would have tried have tried to kick the 7 in, inexperiance again.
