This is a hell of a jump Shorty...you've gone from no name cuemakers that couldn't have been discovered by an archaeology team to Tad Kohara??!!
(you didn't think I was going to leave you alone for too long, did you) ;) :D

Maybe he picked up that player's TAD with no logo that was on Ebay last week? Take no notice of DM Shorty, he's just jealous. Once you get bored of the Tad I'll be happy to trade it for my Predator BK ;-)

Need a Tad, a Gina and a Szamboti for my collecting life to be complete. Until the next "urge" comes along.....

Actually I bought a Balabushka shaft and want him to ID it as an official Bushka shaft.

Does he do this sort of thing?

Try Pete Tascarella. Tad is all the way out in California. Pete is up here in New York and he comes to the local pool room quite a bit with his son. Pete does a lot of work with Balabushka stuff. I'm sure he could authenticate it for you.

Oh, and just out of curiousity, why buy the shaft by itself? Must not have been cheap! Surely that money could have been spent on something else like, I don't know, a whole cue.

Anyway, Pete should be able to help. If you need the contact info, let me know via PM.

Most Bushka shafts would sell for at least a grand. If you paid less than half of that you either got a great deal or ripped off.

Um...Shorty, still, why just the shaft? Also, is it normal to buy something first then get it authenticated AFTER you spent your hard earned money? Not being a smart ass, just want to know. Personally, (and if I were a well known collector like Shorty... :D) I'd ask for authenticity first before I bought it.

Well, I was told it was...and I trust the person that sold it to me. I just wanted a little assurance. I am not out much regardless and for an ivory ferruled shaft that will fit my Schon, it was still a good deal. I figure it's always nice to have a spare shaft for your playing cue and I was looking for a stiffer shaft for my Schon with an ivory ferrule anyway.

Ain't hit a ball with it yet to be honest. It looks like a good breaker and jumper. Seems a little on the cheap side as far as quality, but for the price, I think it will do very nicely. Slim butt, 5/16-14 flat face joint. I like the balance, fat shaft as well. The phenolic tip may be changed...but we shall see.

I am not much of a jumper, but I will let you know how it breaks.

Again, for the price, I think it's a good deal.
