How do you stroke?

Just noticed in the 3rd frame (2-0 to Efren) when Efren misses the 2 ball he speeds through his follow through and doesnt have his brief pause at the end of his warmup strokes.
Efren has no pause on the LAST warmup stroke, it's before the last one. The more critical and tougher the shot the less pause he will have.

IMO it's more like that of a waggle as in Golf than a true practice stroke. Just to get 'loose' and relaxed in my arm while at the same time visiualizing the shot so I can have a clear picture of it in my head. When I feel a lack of tension in my set up , I shoot.

It's going to be different for everyone. Maybe even different from day to day. Whatever it takes to get comfortable before the shot. Of course all the other factors apply to consistancy (stance, alignment, etc) but if everything always worked the same way everyday we'd never miss a shot. ;)

The key to being consistant long term is being able to find that confort zone ASAP on any given day. That ability is what makes some players truly great , regardless of the sport/game. Look how often Tiger changes his swing , people say he's playing great why would he do that , then he reels off another half dozen or more Tourny wins in a row and everyone goes . . . Oh , now I see. :D

There are a lot of interesting observations and guessing about the shooting sequences of the pro players. Important questions to answer are "Is their sequences correct?" and "Should you do what they do?"

As Andrew pointed out, Scott Lee, or any other BCA Instructor who teaches SPF can explain in detail the shooting sequence and assist you in developing yours.
