How does he come short and make the point?

This shot at 3:30 has me stumped. And I think the player is a bit surprised as well judging by his reaction, though I don't know what he's saying...

At 3:30, it's a basic three rail, he misses it short, it catches the short (natural) rail, and makes the point, with running english?

PS, thanks to Mullyman for uploading these, I hope there's more :thumbup2:

Where I come from we call it "the corner whip" -- the ball comes out shorter than it went in. This happens because the long cushion is hit so soon after the short cushion that the spin axis hasn't had time to "normalize", so the angle gets shortened instead of lenghthened, as would ordinarily be expected. The best players sometimes do this intentionally, although it usually just a 'lucky" result.

You're very welcome, man. And I apologize for the camera going in and out of focus. That has to be nerve wracking. Thank you for sitting through them. Better ones are coming though so just hold on.

I put up Blomdahl/Sanchez artistic shots this morning.

I know this guy taught me a thing or two when we played some at the CBC. Don't play a lot of 3C but played fairly well that afternoon (for me). I guess it's true you play better against a good player.
