I usd to think that. "Everybody knows where to hit the ball, they just can't actually cue well enough to do it" But I've realised, there are a good many shots where i look at them, and if i'm honest, i can't really pinpoint where i'm aiming. I'm just going for a rough area. Obviously this isn't the case for the really simple common shots, but even a good proportion of medium level shots. Also how do you explain why awkward cut shots or shots where there is a huge distance between object ball and pocket, yet only a few inches between cueball and object ball, are missed? Are you telling me some really good players' cueing is so bent they've hit the wrong place on the object ball only about ten inches away? Surely the reason they've missed is because they don't know exactly where to send the cue ball.
