How Efren handles possible drama!

Do pros ever explain to the ref what they are going to do so that the ref has some forewarning? I think if Efren had told the ref to watch for the cue ball hitting the rail after the cue ball hit the 2-ball, then the ref could have positioned himself to see the rail clearly, and Efren wouldn't have gotten the bad call.

Any ref who doesn't know what a tickie looks like shouldn't be reffing a pro match. I think Scott was just sleeping.

I have seen players tell the ref what they're planning, but it's pretty rare.
