Curious as to what is your criteria is for travelling to an event. Added $$-distance-costs-entries-prestige etc?

Personally I use this as a general guide.

<$500 added Local only
<$1000 added No more than 3 hrs each way and one night
> $1000 added Up to 6 hrs each way & one night.
> $3000 added Return flight up to $300 & two nights
I attend BCA vegas for the event & spectacle, usually 4-5 days.

Depends on who's playing, not how much money is added. I try to make it to the Derby every year. I would like to make it to a Shooter's (Olathe KS) Midwest 9 ball event. I've driven over 4 hours (to Des Moines IA) to see SVB and Scott Frost throw down. And, I've skipped playing in BIG ADDED MONEY local tournaments for various reasons. I guess there is no rhyme or reason for me attending or playing in a tourney other than availability, and just wanting to go. That said, I'd like to play in the strongest fields possible if I am going to play. The Music City Open tourney that is almost here would be a GREAT one to play in.....but, priorities, and it's a little too close to Derby to be gone that long (if I went to both) away from the wife and kid.

I played in a tourney in Bangkok on Sunday. Got 2nd.

I went all the way to Jakarta for an event in October. Won it.

Last time I was here for the River City Open 40 miles away, I didn't feel like driving.

lol - SHOW OFF

Driving to Dave's isn't THAT bad....being there for a whole tourney.....different story. You'll come back for a tourney Brad, even if only for drinks I'm willing to buy :p

I cashed in the last one I played in. Got knocked out by Ike Runnels 8-6.

Sure I'll be back.
