How important is this break in M Cup races to 5?

First, sorry for starting another thread today on the Mosconi Cup. But we are on a time table ladies and gents!

The break in the M Cup is:

- break from the box
- 9 ball ON the foot spot
- 3 balls either past the head string or pocketed

Please go to 4:18 on this 2008 Mosconi Cup YouTube (a cameo by Earl, who will be missed this year!)

How important is this break in races to 5 and should that factor into our voting decision criteria?

It all depends on the direction the light is hitting the balls and the organic scents that emit from certain individuals that are attending :)

That's hilarious and all NoStroke, but we have the opportunity to alter history with the single stroke of a key!

I STILL have nightmares of this image!!! I cry every night in a deep sweaty sleep and my GF slaps me awake saying "Matt, you've been yelling at Mika for not dogging that 9 ball for 312 days straight now. You're killing me!"

The "3 balls past the head string or pocketed" rule is a real bastardization of the rules. It was hilarious watching the World Cup a couple of months ago and seeing Efren and Busty making 1 or 2 balls on the break and then being told they had to sit down as it was their opponents turn becuase of this rule. Rack after rack, they just kept standing there at the table going huh?

The racking and breaking rules are a totally different animal and I'm hoping we can get some good dialogue on the topic as it relates to our voting.

I don't want to necessarily vote my "favorite". I want to vote our best addition, to help our chances to beat that b*tch of a loaded, stacked, miserable bunch of Europeans. ;)

I would love it if some of our AZB posting Mosconi Cup hopefuls would post their thoughts on the breaking topic.
