How is Mosconi scored?

I see "first team to win 11 matches wins" when I google it, but with 5 matches played Day One and normally 5 on Day Two, it could be over first thing on Day Three. Can someone clarify? Thanks.

It’s ended on day 3 only a few times.

This year it will go all 4 days. The last match today was pushed into tme because of technical issues.

So I assume it will be six matches tomorrow and then possibly up to seven matches Saturday, if they are tied at 10–10?

It would be awesome if they were tied at seven apiece going into the final day, but I think that may be as optimistic as we could hope for the US team.

Yes, correct. On the years where it seems it might be lopsided, they schedule fewer matches per day to try to get to the 4th day for TV reasons.

That would be my guess.

They have to play todays last match they delayed plus the 3rd days schedule for sure.

I hope it goes the whole way. It’s so much fun being there

Yeah, my buddy Brent and his wife are headed there today and they have VIP seats right behind the US team for day three and four. He knocked me off in our weekly tournament finals three nights ago. He’s extremely pumped up for this, and I’m hoping he’ll get plenty of chance to cheer us on through Saturday!
