Call a guy yesterday to ask how their Sunday Tournament were going, he said business is way down. He had built up their Sunday afternoon tournament to where they were getting 30-32 almost every week. Yesterday they had 16.

He blame the declining numbers on the COST of Everything, and Poor Economic conditions. I sitting here watching MSNBC like I do every a.m., and I see OIL is STILL ABOVE 140.00 Bucks/Barrel.

I'm going to have to agree, it's the economy. I have a sunday tournament also and my numbers are way down. But, so are everyone elses.
We've had many ups and downs through out the 34 years of ownership, the last one being after 9/11. I thought I was going to have to get a real job. It took about a year and a half for things to turn around and this time it looks like there is no end in sight.
I feel sad every time someone posts a poolroom is closing--there but for the grace of God go I.

I am off about 45% and its not looking good, I told my landlord im not going anywhere till he throws me out. He said he wont throw me out, yeah right LOL.

We are always slower in the summer months here in the NW. It seems that once the weather breaks here that it's very difficult for us to maintain a weekly Sunday tournament.

We stop holding our weekly tournaments about Mid-May and go to once a month.....the last Sunday of the Month Scotch Doubles tourney seems to still be of interest to enough folks around here even if the weather is near perfect.

Our monthly 9-ball tournament continues to have a good draw

Maybe you need to hold different types of tournaments and mix things up a little bit!? Best of Rolls to you :)

Not sure how 'business' is... but I played the 9 ball tourny at Metro on Saturday night... and they filled up the 32 player bracket.

If my building and equipment weren't already paid for.....they wouldn't be mine anymore.

This whole town just folds up at 6:00 now (except for the Wal-Mart). People just don't have spare cash.
