How long should I wait?

I bought a cue from a fellow AZ'er. I paid for the cue with paypal last week, and the cue was supposedly shipped 2nd day fed ex on Thursday afternoon. I have asked several times for a tracking number, but have yet to get one. I don't know if I'm overreacting here, but I'm stressing out pretty bad over this. Communication with the seller is limited due to his job, but he does answer my pm's within a day or so, but its been 5 days and I have no cue, and no tracking number, and a lot less cash in my bank account. Should I file a claim with paypal now, or wait and hope I get what I paid for?

Cue shipped with FEDEX Thursday---he had a tracking number on Thursday.
Poor communication with him due to his job---what, he works 24-7:confused:
You should have had the tracking number on Thursday and the cue in your hands today.
I assume he had no problem communicating when he wanted your money.
I'm tired of these stories.

Yes, he reponded very quickly when we were making the deal, but he said he was at home and was leaving to work in a remote area on Thursday.

i would say if he is a fellow AZer someone in this area will get the word back to him or he will read this for him self.....I would give him 24 hours from now to get you a tracking number...if nothing.....i would take action
 
With the weekend, things can get a bit messed up, but there is no reason why he couldn't supply a tracking number to prove it was shipped. Send him another PM, tell him if you don't get at least a tracking number in the next 12-24 hours, you are going to get your money back from Paypal.

Shipping delays happen, especially over a weekend, but if he is responding to your PMs but for some odd reason isn't able to provide a tracking number, well ... I would be suspicious also.
 
Ya this crap makes me sick, I always find the cue I want from a guy who doesnt like to use paypal or an Escrow too... Forget that!!! I hate people .
 
I had the same thing happen to me, mine situation was international though. My cue finally showed up a couple weeks late. Paypal gives you 45 days after the transaction. It seems like since you had fedex 2nd day air it should of been there twice. Alert the seller again. File a claim if you do t get answers within a few days.

Well, I still haven't got a tracking number, but I did get ahold of fedex today. They confirmed that I have a package that was going to be delivered today and it did indeed require a signature. Needless to say I am quite relieved! Whew! I was one click away from filing a dispute with paypal until I decided to call them. Maybe I overreacted, but I've been scammed before and that's not something you forget. Thanks for everyones concern.

Honestly ALL FEDERAL EXPRESS has Tracking Number as I recall, I think the seller should have supplies TRACKING INFORMATION when the item was shipped.

When I was doing a lot of Federal Express with my small photography business years ago, I made it a practice to FAX ALL Federal Express Tracking Information to my clients.

My motivation was simple, as most were on the EAST COAST, I was on the West Coast, so it was there for them when they came to work, never got call asking if the "film' was shipped, as they had the Tracking Number so they could start a trace should the shipment not show up.

The transactions I have had on AZB where I am the seller I always give the BUYER Tracking ASAP info from the POST OFFICE, as it make life go so easy!

IMHO had you had the Federal Express Tracking number this thread would have never been posted, as you could have TRACKED YOUR CUES ARRIVAL! JMHO

Well, I was told it shipped out Thursday, but it must have been too late to get on the plane, so it actually shipped Friday. It still took a little bit longer, but at least I know something was shipped. I'm just relieved I got some sort of confirmation. Also, the seller has stopped all communication with me, so I must have made him mad. That was not my intention, I was just getting pretty worried and wanted some opinions on whether I was jumping the gun about disputing it through paypal.

let us know about how is it going. it's happenning the same to me. i ask to an Az'er if he shipps overseas, he gave me his paypal adress, i payed him instantly on May 6th and got no news so far. i sent him a pm and got no answer.

If you used your Amex for payment with Paypal just dispute the charge and tell Amex merchandise never sent. You will be credited immediately..if you sent $ through your bank, file a paypal claim..takes a while. Usually takes 2-3 weeks to settle, happened to a friend of mine buying golf clubs on Ebay, but Paypal made it right.
