How many cnc cuemakers out there????

Well, I guess this is out of subject but my purchase is based on the fact that the machine could be used to 1000 other things than just pool cues. I don't see that with the custom machine which basically just make ...... cues. And costs more than my machine...

I would rip one of these apart and mount under my Gantry :

My machine cost less then the $15K mentioned and I could do so much more than just cues.

This has been debated here many times so it was just some thoughts on it and was not a thread highjack.

Lee for precision work you need all parts not just the spindle to be accurate. The backlash can be set and then it is on the computer.
Bluds machine seems to have all that figured out.
 
i do agree i was just saying with a real hi dollar machine a router will not work as well as a high end spindle and i have done some work with mine
thats a good as any i have seen i have so manythings going on i never get a chance to really do any inlay work parts and jigs and tooling seem to be better paying then making cues right now and i also agree on what he said about other uses i didnt realize he was using for other things i also have a sign shop we sometimes do a routered sign not that often signs now are moving towards digital led how about some other uses for cnc
from everyone any one have any good ideas??? can we hhear them??

I have several, 1- single head CNC mill, also a 2-head and a 4-head mill, then a 2-headed saw, and a 4-headed cnc saw. All designed and built by me. Lots of jigs and fixtures...I sell CNC mills from around, $8,500.00 and up, saws from $5.500.00 and up. My machines are work horses, and do a great job.

That's where the Gantry has the advantage. You can mount multiple spindles if you want.
Maybe one Kress router ( very accurate and cost $400 ) and one NSK spindle ( maybe 2-3 grand , Unique sells one for $1200 iirc ).

That's a heck better than a 15 grand wood lathe.
