How many hours per week are you open?

I've found a local room that would be a a pretty nice place to play if they had acceptable business hours. I realize that not every room can be open 24/7, but this place isn't even open 70 hours per week. :eek: Forget about playing during the day. They're still not open yet today, and it's Sunday, 6:18 pm local time as I type this.

So, how many hours per week is your room open?

i used to live by a pool hall that was only open from 6 till about midnight..just pool no food and maybe 2 or 3 cues for sale...it's now closed..

We are open 7 days a week from 1pm to usually 6 am. We get some business during the day and offer special rates at 1/2 off our regular rates to make shooting during the day more appealing. It works and helps our evening business as well.
We serve a small snack type menu with hot food , candy , chips , pop , ect. for those who stay awhile or on lunch.(Helps with the night time folks as well , keeps em in house.)
So on hours we are open bout 90 plus hours a week! Damn , I need a raise! LOL

Generally speaking, customers indirectly determine the hours of a PH. If a PH opens the doors at 9am for a period of, let's say, 4 months, and customers don't start coming in until 11am, the customers have dictated the appropriate hours of operation.

Determining the closing time is usually based on the same evaluations. The ability to staff the business with reliable employee(s) adds to the equation among other things as well.

My room is open from 12:30 pm until 2:00 am Sun-Thur, and 12:30 pm until 4:00 am Fri-Sat.
 
We are a neighborhood Pub (more of a Restaurant and Bar) vs. a traditional Poolhall....but, we open everyday at 8 a.m. and close at 2 a.m.

We have a few folks that come in the mornings or afternoons regularly to play but, for the most part the majority of our play happens at night after 5 p.m. ;)
 
we are open 7 days a week. 11:00 a.m till 2:00 a.m. monday thru saturday and 1:00 p.m. till 2:00 a.m. on sunday. We are even open on Thanksgiving and Christmas and only close because of hurricanes and then the eventual power outage that comes with it!
 
The pool hall, which is in a mall, I used to manage is open approx 110hrs a week: 11:30am-2:00am weekdays, 11:30am-4am weekends. The only day that it's closed is on Good Friday :)
 
Appx 114 hours a week.

Will close early on nights it is vacant and get trapped into staying later some nights.
 
Open at Noon Daily
Close at Midnight Sun thru Thurs
Close Fri-Sat at 1 a.m.
this is a township requirement here.
No alcohol allowed either. and no one under 18 before 3 p.m.

8 Tables and, knock on wood, I do very well here in my new spot.
 
we have a 24 hr licsence, but we're usually open from 11am till 5 am weekdays and the full 24 on weekends
 
112 hours per week. 10am-2am mon-thurs. 10am-4am fri & sat. noon-midnight.
We have a full bar (beer wine liquor) and full kitchen. The bar is seperate from the pool hall (like a bowling alley) so we can actually stay open 24 hours in the pool hall just as long as we close the doors to the bar area and lock them. We just don't advertise 24 hours because I stay here long enough everyday, I rarely get to see my dog as it is!!
We have a small lunch crowd but the reason we open at 10am everyday is because:
1. Cleanup up crew comes @ 10am every morning to clean the hall and bar so if we have to be here for that, we might as well open up.
2. Our building is 30,000 sq ft. We use the back to work on and repair pool tables that is part of another business we own. The workers for that show up at 10am, so if we are here anyway, we might as well be open.

We have been open 7 months now and we have quite a few regulars (10-15 older guys) that are here every day around 10:30am knocking around balls.

But there is no other place I would rather be than in a pool hall all day!
 
some long hours i've been there and done that in another business...if i where you i would bring my dog into the building and put him in a room so you can see him once in awhile...
