How many miles you get out a that Kamui?

Keeping score

It isn't easy to keep count when you are deep in concentration with drills. I always lose count myself, so your accurate number keeping is commendable.

For open ended shot drills (stop shots usually) I use groups and markers so I happen to have purple and orange ear plugs but you could use any two small objects coins ect. My orange marker is groups and when I pocket a group of 5 balls I move it one diamond. The purple marker is errors when I make a mistake I move it a diamond. That way I have a constant running talley. Then when I finish a Stage, Position, I mark it in my book. Early on I used to mark every shot in a book so I could see error trends in my shooting. IE do I usually miss to the left or the right but I hadn't had a trend in a while so I stopped doing that and just started recording the raw stat.

Some of my drills are 10 or 15 balls in different positions Large area or small area. With these drills after I miss I mark what I pocketed in the book. Usually I only allow my self 10 attempts at a drill. That way I am forced to make every attempt count thus my usual ball counts of 100 and 150. My drills are on a link at the top of my blog in the thin black line.

I have quite a few "followers" on my blog and my twitter feed (auto tweeted from the blog) some are friends some are just random people. Some are real actual poolebritys So I try not to overdo it with the statistical details and try to add in some stories from my life. So as not to be too boring. I get the most engagement when I post my treadmill runs strangely, but what ever I'm just glad people help me keep motivated.

Well, you inspired me to go even further in my record keeping. I will go with the ten to fifteen shots per drill and log the stats from there. The marker idea works too. Thanks for the much needed kick in the pants.

Pechauer Gold Hard

Installment 2 of how many balls you get out of that tip.

Tip: Pechauer Gold Hard

Installed: Factory New First played November 1st 2014

Retired: March 20th 2015

Total play: 106 days

Balls: 29829

Chalk Used: Master 3 Cubes

Loved the Pechauer Gold tip it playes great.

I remember the gent from Kamui stating the abrasives are so little in kamui chalk that you get more miles out of the tip on your cue. I used masters, blue diamond and predator chalks and I believe they would wear the tips down like that.

I don't know if you experimented with kamui chalk, but I would guess you would get a fewmore hits outta those tips. What do you think?

No I it would cost me $220 extra a year if I used kamui chalk. I go through 11 pieces of master per year. right now I am installing a Kamui Clear Brown Hard as my next tip.

I use Kamui clear black hard and this tip is going to last a very long time.
Best tip I've ever had the pleasure of playing with.
