How many of you are ordering cues? Let's keep the cue makers going. I have a Southwest but Ned Morris is about the best. I keep him building.

How many of you are ordering from the cue makers? We need to keep them in business and let them survive.

Haven't ordered any in 3 months, but I would like another no wrap. Really like the Schon no wrap I have and would like another, but they are hard to come across. Also would like to have another DZ to go with the one I have now, but would be a no wrap this time.

I have zero coming, I have been on Southwest’s wait list over 14 years. Might get to order in 2022❓

Have my players I use couple of time a week.

Great for you, but did you know that SW cues are the best value resale, but they do not hit the ball so good. I have one in my closet, Jerry Franklin build, but it sucks compared to a Ned Morris cue. BUT how will we let the world know?

I'm sorry, but it's the truth. Ned Morris cues HIT the ball better than SouthWesst cues!! How do we tell the pool world? Can I do it here? I presume not possible.

You do what you wish, and being blunt there are many Pool Cue builder who do not have the name recognition of Southwest, BlackBore, Gina, etc.

But some of the little name regional builders make hidden gem Cues.

Sort of like Cigars everyone know Fuente Opus X, but truth is there are little know reasonable brand that are equals.

The last one was a Bob Owen that my brother talked me out of recently Bobs work is amazing and the hit was very nice. His turn around was maybe 5 months 2 years ago but that is changing quickly.
I'm a fan of Southwest and had 5 since my first one in about '82 I always had good play on them.
My current AE is amazing as well and plays very nice but those guys aren't making anymore.

About half of all the posts have something about Ned Morris cues there is definitely some unrequited love happening there

I do agree about Morris cues having a great hit feel, I own one and although don't play with it anymore I have loved the hit feel of it.

It's actually personal opinion on what cues hit better than others. I'm very particular about how my cues hit and I've shot with some pretty nice cues and guess what - I wouldn't buy 90% of the high end cues I've played with because I don't like the way they hit? Doesn't mean they're bad cues.

The name on the cue does not make it play well, the specs are what makes it play well. Yes, a certain cue maker may stick to a certain formula that some people particularly like but that does not mean it's the best.

I also own a Ned Morris and for a small batch manufacturer Ned Morris is also one of the best I have played with. His shaft taper is damn near perfect and he does a great job at picking shaft wood.

Maybe they guys were High School buddies. Life long friends, and help one another to this day.

I generally chuckle when you post but I'm pretty sure you're in the wrong on this one. I own one of Ned's cues and I pimp his name whenever it comes up. His cue is second to a couple of the Huebler's I own and I will give credit when credit is due.

Ned also just happens to be a pretty good guy ;)

just got my blackpearl a few months back

I put in an order with Paul Drexler for a custom before he closed his book in June of last year. Still plans on making cues, just no longer taking custom orders.
