How many of you have a one piece as your main cue?

I almost always use a 1-piece cue. I could imagine that they would be hard to travel with if you went around to different tournaments but I just have been using a 1-piece cue most of the time. I also tried a 3-piece cue, they are not good...

I saw a guy walking around the Riviera in Vegas for the BCA Nationals with a long hard case for what I'm sure was a one piece cue. Funny thing is the goof ball walked like he thought he was the $hit! Lol.

For a few years in the late 80's I had a favorite house cue that I would have my local room put up in the office for me. One day they said they didn't want to store it anymore and gave it to me. I still have it. It's a one piece Huebler. Plays great.

I have 5 or 6 of them myself if you know anyone looking for one send me a PM, most are still perfectly straight after all these years. I think these were the best one piece cues that have ever been made.

Here are some photo's of the Huebler one piece cues that I still have in my shop.

sorry to disagree

The only 3 things that affect the hit of a pool cue to any significant degree (unless you have something wrong with your cue) are the tip/ferrule, shaft, and weight/balance (I guess you can stretch that out to 5 things). Some cosmetic effects can affect the hit by changing the weight/balance, but the same effect would be achieved with any extra mass added to the cue.

As a custom cue builder I have to strongly disagree....imo you are quite mistaken......the woods used in the butt makes a huge difference...compare a birdseye forarmed cue with a ebony, or cocbolo forarm....it changes the hit......the a joint and how you design your a joint makes a huge difference......as well as your buttsleave conection....be it tenon or connection screw.....the materials used in the joint make a difference as well. There are many things involved and I honestly don't think that a one piece cue plays as good as a well built two piece.....and I always heard snooker cues were 27 inch butts and 31 inch shafts....I maybe very wrong about that though......any way.....just my two cents
