How much is a Predator Blak2 worth?

Good evening, everyone.

I'd appreciate a little advice, please? A friend has asked for help in sourcing a pre-owned Predator Blak2 cue in good condition and I am unsure how much to offer any potential sellers.

Any ideas on the going rate? And, of course, do you know anybody who wishes to sell one?

Many thanks indeed.

I don't really know the going rate but I just bought a used one from a guy in the pool room for $200. The owner of the room is a known pro, I showed him the cue and he said it was a good buy.

I think it was a msrp of 1259 new, most dealers discount 10% off that price, so around 1k new. With that being said I would say 600ish is a fair estimate. Predator is a production cue, and their cost new is much higher than their cost used like many others. The loss margin is much higher than if you bought a lower cost production cue.

Many thanks for your kind help, gentlemen, it's much appreciated.

Mike. That's rather an exact figure, sir. I can't tell if you're pulling my leg or actually have a Blak2 for sale. If you do have one I'm sure my buddy would be keen to buy at that price if the cue is in reasonable condition.

Cheers,
RC.

If you stick to less than half of retail you should be able to get back what you paid for it when you sell if you decide to.

I will buy as many predator blak cues as I can get my hands on for $200 ;)

Predator cues are always in demand. Not everyone's cup of tea but probably the most popular LD cue on the market. The best is highly debated on a regular basis.

Hey Mike, I think you are talking about the shafts and he is asking about the blak series cues

Hello again, everyone.

You're right, sir, I did mean the Blak 2 cue and not simply a Predator shaft. Apologies for not making that absolutely clear.

Many thanks, though, for all your kind suggestions.

IMO, depending on condition, 60-65% of retail should be fair for everybody. that is if no defects and more or less straight. $250 or so would be my guess, if I was looking to buy one.
